One day I had dinner with some friends and suddenly something popped out from our minds – the coming Friday is our best friend Jamie’s birthday! We should give her a surprise. What gift should we present to her?

Jamie is in Amsterdam for her business degree and we are in Hong Kong. We can’t make a nice birthday party for her as gift, or else we need to spend a whole fortune to get to the Netherlands (The point is, I’ve just been to a shopping spree!)

What should we give Jamie as gifts to make her feel that we miss her so much and that we hope we are with her? What would make her feel moved? Although we cannot hold parties for her, we are always with her! What gift can present her such message?

But she is in Amsterdam now and if we post a large gift to her it would be very costly, and it cannot reach her on time too. And also, Jamie’s daddy and mummy are rich enough to provide her whatever she wants.

We go through a number of suggestion but we still could not come up with something very special to be the gift for Jamie. What does Jamie long for? What will make Jamie feel touched and surprise? And of course, not to be too expensive.

An idea jumped out from my brain out of a sudden. One day I was glancing through my friend’s facebook, I saw some very romantic stuff. My friend draws e-cards to his girlfriend every day to present her his love, and his girlfriend draws back to him too!

I think that Jamie will feel deeply touched if every one of us designs our own e-card and send them to her on her birthday as gifts! We can draw whatever we like and say whatever we want to say on the e-cards.

I am sure these e-cards would be the most cherishable birthday gifts for Jamie as they help to carry our love overseas to our beloved Jamie! We miss you! If you miss us, draw thank you cards to us!
